1914 Pontifical Biblical Commission Certificate

Pontificia Commissio de Re Biblica diploma, depicting the Four Evangelists in an ornate border, and awarded to one Stephanus Drioton, 6/12/1914. The Pontifical Biblical Commission was instituted by Pope Leo XIII in 1902. Large size, approx. 20" x 25", printed on heavy glossy stock, folded, a small opening at one of the folds. Commission stamped. Signed by Dutch Cardinal Willem Marinus van Rossum, Pontifical Biblical Commission President who also participated in the 1914 and 1922 conclaves. Could be matted and framed for a great display!
