Alexander VII (1655-67) Testone, Papal Coin

Testone, Rome. Obverse: Chigi family coat-of-arms of six stylized mountains and a star, plus the oak tree of the House of della Rovere. Reverse: Hand from the heavens holding scales. Around, NEC CITRA NEC VLTRA "Neither this side nor beyond" (Horace, Satires, Book 1, Line 107). VF, ex-mounted, fields skillfully chased, attractive item! Interesting but unattributed counterstamp above God's hand. From an old papal coin collection of the 1940s, nice grey original toning, never cleaned.
