Papal States silver Testone of Pius IV (1559-65) from the mint at Macerata depicting apostle Peter seated with his right hand raised in benediction; at bottom left, the mint mark of Mazzeo Mazzei. About Very Fine, small edge nick at 8 o'clock on the obverse. Nice, grey original toning, never cleaned, from an old papal coin collection of the 1940s.
