Alexander VIII 1689 1/2 Grosso Lateran Possession

1689 Silver Mezzo Grosso of Pope Alexander VIII (1689-91). Fine to Very Fine, slightly bent. Nice, old grey toning, never cleaned. On October 28, 1689, Alexander VIII accepted his responsibility as bishop of Rome by taking possession of the Lateran Basilica, a standard rite for any newly elected pontiff.
