2001 Vatican 100,000 Lire gold coin. The obverse features Pope John Paul II facing right. The reverse features a Christogram, or monogram of Christ, which has its origin in a sarcophagus from the 4th century. On the left and right appear the letters alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, referring to Christ as eternal life. Perfect condition in original plush case.
