Innocent XI (1676-89) A.VII Church Standing Medal

Innocent XI facing right / Figure of the Church standing, a cherub to the left holding a chapel and a cherub right holding a papal tiara. Patination a little uneven, but a real, glossy beauty of a medal! Facing Turkish agression, Innocent XI chose to display a message of steadfast endurance on both this medal and the Anno VIII medal.
