Cast bronze restitution medal of Pope Hadrian V by Giovanni Battista Pozzo. Small hole and plug. Hadrian (or Adrian) V reigned from July 11-Aug 18, 1276. On the day following his election, Hadrian assembled the cardinals in the Lateran and suspended Gregory X's conclave decree, promising to propose a fresh one. This was his sole recorded administrative act, for a few days later he left Rome, and settled at Viterbo where he died without being ordained priest, consecrated, or crowned.
