Innocent X (1644-55) Opening Holy Door

Obverse: Pope Innocent X right, crowned with the tiara, wears cope on which appears the standing figure of Saint Paul. Reverse: Wielding a hammer, the pope breaks open the walled-up Holy Door, on either side groups of cardinals watch. Annual medal, year VI, in the reign of Innocent X. Nice shape, especially on the reverse; a restrike from original dies. Includes a custom, clear lucite holder.
