Innocent X (1644-55) Holy Door Closed

Bronze medal, approx. 30mm across, on the conclusion of the Jubilee Year. Obverse: Pope Innocent X right, crowned with the tiara, wears cope on which appears the standing figure of Saint Peter. Reverse: The bricked Holy Door. Struck under the direction of the Mint Master of Rome, Francesco Mazio, circa 1824. Includes a custom, clear lucite holder.
