Urban VIII (1623-44) The Holy Year 1625

Obverse: Urban VIII right wearing cope, morse enclosing the head of Christ. Reverse: A procession of pilgrims kneels before the Holy Door in which appears the Veil of Veronica (Volto Santo). Struck under the direction of the Mint Master of Rome, Francesco Mazio, circa 1824. Includes a custom, clear lucite holder. Beautiful condition!
