Dies for Chile, Bolivia, Spain Visits John Paul II

We've sold a lot of Pope John Paul II medals and this is a first for us. For sale we have a lot of three dies used to strike the official medals of the host countries of Chile, Bolivia and Spain for the apostolic visit of Pope Saint John Paul II during 1987-1989. Each is an obverse die featuring a portrait of John Paul II and manufactured by the official state mint of Chile, the Santiago mint. Details:

Visit to Chile 1987 die, approximately 36mm in diameter, weight = 1 pound.

Visit to Bolivia 1988 die, approximately 26mm in diameter, weight = about 1 pound.

Visit to Spain 1989 die, approximately 37mm in diameter, weight = 1.25 pounds.
