Official Vatican medal for the election of Pope Pius XII. Reverse depicts Pius XII's coat-of-arms. Mintage of only 2,500 in silver on the issue date, June 29, 1939, the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul. Includes plush case--case is unmarked with any coat-of-arms but, from the style and fit, appears to be the original case.
