Julius III (1550-55) Black Basalt Medal c.1780

Uniface medal of Pope Julius III, 33mm, uncirculated condition in black basalt. Obverse: Julius III wearing tiara, facing right. This is a Philipp Heinrich Muller medal (1712, Nuremberg) reproduced by famous designer Josiah Wedgewood circa 1780. Beautiful, uncirculated condition, slightly curved. Uniface medal with the number "225" on the reverse. cf. CNORP-454.
