Urban VIII (1623-44) Anno XI Civitavecchia

Bronze Anno XI medal by Gaspare Mola depicting a bird's eye view of the port of the city of Civitavecchia, whose fortifications were restored by Urban VIII. XF condition in a lovely, medium brown. Nice, 18th century strike. Rare. Medal #24 in Adolfo Modesti's book CIVITAVECCHIA NELLA MEDAGLIA PONTIFICIA (Civitavecchia, 1994).
