The Decoration of the Basilica of St. Peter's, Anno IV (1647) by Gaspare Morone Mola. Obverse: Pope Innocent X facing right. Reverse: Interior looking towards high altar; VATICANIS SACELLIS INSIGNITIS. Very fine cast in yellow bronze. Papal medals almost always depict exteriors or facades--this is one of the first papal medals to depict the interior of a basilica.
