Huge silver medal (.999 fine silver), 63mm in diameter, 157.3 grams, commemorating the relief of Vienna 1683, by the Polish American Numismatic Association. Over 5 ounces of silver. Innocent XI's greatest aim and achievement was to mobilize resistance to the Turks advancing into Europe. Towards this end, Innocent XI brought about the alliance between Emperor Leopold I and John III Sobieski of Poland which led to the relief of Vienna (September 12, 1683).
