Pius VIII (1829-30) Possession Lateran Ar Medal

Anno I medal of Pope Pius VIII commemorating the possession of the Lateran Basilica, the cathedral church of Rome, on May 24, 1829. Beautiful toned Unc with reflective surfaces. A patch on the reverse is completely un-toned! Engraved by Giuseppe Girometti. Pius VIII medals are relatively few, having reigned from 1829-1830, and silver medals of this pope--especially in condition this nice--are very difficult to find.
