Innocent X 1654 Church of Sant'Agnese

Papal medal for the building of the church of S. Agnese (St. Agnes) in Piazza Novana, among Francesco Borromini's greatest architectural achievements. Obverse has the correct regnal year of Anno X (Whitman, in Roma Resurgens #76, publishes an "Anno XI" example which he admits is "impossible"). Corresponds to Mazio-244 but is free of the die break as seen in the Pictorial Medal Catalog example.
