1984 Vatican Aerogramme with a printed 550 Lire stamp depicting the two coats of arms of Pope Innocent XI. In a token of gratitude to the Polish Sovereign John Sobieski, Innocent XI replaced the black eagle in his coat of arms with the crowned white eagle of the Polish monarchy. On the left of the aerogramme, a detail from John Mateilko's painting--donated by Poland to Pope Leo XIII--of a victorious John III Sobieski at the battle of Vienna in 1683.
